SpongeBob Playset behind-the-scenes pics

Image
When I'm making tiny toys, taking WIP pictures of them is the last thing I'm thinking about. But! I managed to snap a couple of pics during the making of this special SpongeBob playset that I was commissioned to make by my wife. See my previous post for the actual completed playset in all it's undersea glory :->

Nautical Nonsense Playset wood toy

This very special playset that I just finished making was truly a labor of love. My wife (who works on SpongeBob) commissioned me to make a piece of art for her crew White Elephant gift exchange. My only regret is that I didn't give myself nearly enough time to finish it properly. But it turned out pretty well, don't you think?

"Froggy Motorist" wood toy

This "Froggy Motorist" is the first wood toy I've made for a group art show. It's for a show called Toy Art Starter Kit at Kouhigh Toys on Melrose. The last picture has one of my tiny toys for size comparison. This froggy is bigger, see? It'll be much harder to lose in your couch cushions or where-ever it is you choose to lose my tiny toys :->
