Capsule Castaways Series 4 wood toys

Image
For my fourth series of Capsule Castaways wood toys, I wanted to change things up a bit and chose to make mini-sets that would be sold blind in mystery capsules. The end results were surprisingly good? It was actually really hard to let some of these sets go! Bringing me to the sets below, which I did in fact, not let go and rather kept for myself or gave to my wife (she got the donut set in the last picture). These ones very much met my standards of excellence in tiny toys. They are now sitting pretty in my special toy display case where I put all of the best toys that I have made (except for some of the other very good one-off toys that I sold, but wish I hadn't...oh well).

Several Tiny Toy Series Lumped Together In A Single Post

Tiny toys! Most of these are re-imaginings or continuations of toy series that I previously made. Mushroom Friends have morphed into Mean Mushroom. My series of tree toys has gone from Good Trees to Bad Trees and now these here Spooky Trees. Not Good People were heavily inspired by one of the very first Capsule Castaways toys that I made (and kept for myself) and are also part of my ongoing "People" toys which include Good People, Mushroom People, and Pebble People. In addition to all of these, I also made a new series of Capsule Castaways toys (apart from the "Witchy Motorist" series pictured here), but I will post pictures of those separately to give them each their due. All of the toys featured in this post were made in multiples - I made 40 of the Not Good People alone, making them my largest series yet. That's a lot of toys. Too many, maybe? Here are a few pictures for you to look at :-> Not Good People Pebble People Series 2 Capsule Castaways "Witc...

Behind-The-Scenes For The Making Of The Most Toys I Have Ever Made All At Once

Image
I went a little overboard and made 100+ toys over the course of two weeks recently. It was a lot of fun until it wasn't. I had to paint so many tiny faces. So very many. But I'm proud of the work I managed to create. Some of these pieces stand up there with the best of what I've made (in my humble opinion). Feast your eyes upon these behind-the-scenes pictures of the toys as they were being made.

Official Knock-Off heysoupface Toys by LJazzy

I had the idea to make "knock-off" versions of my own toys, but didn't feel it would work if I tried to paint them myself so my wife (aka LJazzy) painted them instead. And these pictures are the proof of her art crimes against me and my work! She made a series of nine capsule toys in total. Here are all of the finished pieces for your approval.
