These are some index card doodles I drew for an upcoming group exhibition at Giant Robot Gallery. This was a lovely change of pace for me. Whittling wood sculptures is fun and all but it's also very time consuming. And nothing beats doodling! I like how these turned out but I'm not sure anybody else will give a darn about them. Oh well! This show opens on Saturday, July 11th and it's probably worth checking out in person if you can?

I make a lot of tiny Capsule Castaways wood toys and have a few standard types that I make in perpetuity. But to break up the monotony of whittling the same little guys over and over again, I also make special dudes that require a little more thought and creative energy on my part.
